Here is proof that the Sony 70-200G is a SLOW lens for focus speed. This is using the a900 which is Sony's most expensive and best camera for sale right now. The interesting part is not only is the lens slow at focusing, but it's EVEN SLOWER at 200mm. Tested in bright indoors as well as pointed outside to the sun. Reason being that Sony's AF modules work faster when the scene is brighter, and they are horribly slow indoors. Canon and Nikon 70-200's don't slow down when the scene gets darker and they are lightning fast to begin with.
